quick question...

anyone here experienced using various tube mics?

just wondering...

1. what order a tube mic should be turned off? (ie: power supply off first, then unplugged?)

2. can the 48v button on a console or mixer have any negative effects on a tube mic?

Boy, I don't know. I build my own vacuum tube amplifiers, but I don't know anything about tube mics.

I am not for certain but I would treat it like a tube guitar amp. You've sparked my curiosity on this as well. I've only ever dealt with tube pre-amps as far as microphones go.
