• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

well, simply put, just video your self doing something then overlay the music you want to it.

There are a few programs/packages to help - iMovie to name one i think. You can certainly stream photos together and map the music over the top and vice versa with iMovie, so i would imaging the same could be said for music and film mapping.

Check out iMovie iLife - iMovie - Read about movie trailers and more new features. and see if it fits

iMovie is good software to start with making videos. A camera to film and your imagination to produce the video. Study some of your favorite videos and mimic what they do (e.g. scene transitions, cutting between scenes, video playback speed). An easy way to make sure scenes will line up play the song as you record the video and just overdub. Even if you are doing a cover let the video tell the story you want to tell.

Read through these articles. All may not apply to your situation, but it provides a good foundation of understanding for planning your shoot: DVvideo.com -> Learn -> Pre-Production - Introduction

Editing is the final process to all this and you have a lot of options for the Mac. iMovie, FCPX, Premiere Pro, and more. There are free trials for almost all packages. Give them all a try and see what works for you.
