How hard is it to get a job in an Apple store?

I was in my local one earlier, having a play with an iPhone 4S, trying-out Siri etc., and I ended-up helping the guy next to me change the language on the phone he was looking at back to the English language setting after some joker had changed it to German.

I quipped "They should give me a job here!" and then thought, 'Yeah, why not? I've got experience in customer service and with technology, including Apple gear specifically...'

I've heard some people say it's easier to get a job at NASA! Is it really that demanding a process, or is it more just that people rarely leave & so they don't often need to hire new staff?

Cheers :)

Why not just try? The worst thing that can happen is they say no. It's not like you are going to excommunicated from the Mac society or banned from the store. :p

Yeah, of course, I will; just didn't want to get my hopes up too much if it wasn't too likely ;)

Well, thanks to my university degree (Aeronautical Engineering) I have no choice but to still be primarily a Windows user! (Even a couple of my classmates who have MBPs have them set to boot Windows as their primary OS, as they have to use it so much.) I do plan to get a Mac desktop of some type as soon as I can afford it, but until then I thought the Boot Camp logo would be a good concession! I used a colourised version to subtly imply the fact that I'm running Windows on a PC, not a Mac (yet) ;D

Well why not try.

Some day i might want to work for Apple. or Google. Someone big, and well known, and that is a good company.
