To be honest, $250 does not seem like that much. The price is in line with others of this type. We've tried the Honeywell VisionPro, as well as a custom maker/installer, and never liked anyone of them, and each was close to $200. They all got returned faster than you can rip it out of your wall! If it's as easy to use as some people say, it should do well.
