Macbook memory

Dear Members,
I recently changed my hard drive in macbook.I would like to restore and backup and all the datas in new harddrive in mac-book.Please let me know how i do that and what do i need for it?

Please note am not a computer savvy, so if you can keep simple it would be great.

Since you didn't tell us which version of OS X you're using or any information about your MacBook, we have to make assumptions. Assuming you're using Leopard or later, use Time Machine to backup all your data or you can use a cloning program to copy the contents of the old hard drive to the new one. SuperDuper or Carbon Copy Cloner are the two most popular programs which do cloning.
