not able to change the desktop image on lion

Hi
since I did an update for my Lion OS yesterday I'm not able to change the desktop background image , after I change and restart the same image returns !!!
any help please

You posted in the wrong forum. Was there some confusion over the forum description or title? What you posted has nothing to do with "Apple Rumors and Reports". The Sticky post at the head of the forum describes what can be posted in that particular forum. That's why it's there.
