True itunes restore from ipod

Hard drive crashed, lost everything, have ipod with my itunes on it.

I want to restore itunes with my ipod and i don't mean just dragging and dropping songs into a new itunes. The things i want restored are things like...

1) playcounts
2) playlists
3) ect...

what is the best way to do a true itunes restore from a ipod?

I've never checked out xport so I can't say anything about it, but Pod to Mac (or Pod to PC) has always done the job and brought back EVERYTHING the way it was, right down to the star ratings. Photos, videos, lyrics, EVERYTHING. $20.

scratch that. xport does not do playlists (if it does than not very well) got a program called music rescue for $17 and that did everything i wanted.
