At the top of the browser window in safari where you type in the URL there is no place to type the URL. Only the oinks below it i.e "apple, yahoo, googlemaps". My question is, how do I restore my safari back so I can type in url's again... thanks in advance..

Right-click on the top edge of your Safari window and select Customize Toolbar...

Click on the URL window in the group of selections that appear and drag it to your Safari window to place it there. You can do the same with various shortcut buttons that you see in that group as well.
