My iMac's sound has completely stopped working... No sound on anything I use after trying to edit with Adobe After Effects. I have edited countless times before with no problem, and had only just imported a clip, and checked the clip, when there was no sound. I have tried going into the Audio MIDI app, but all icons are greyed out, and all dropdowns are at default. Even external speakers and headphones dont work from the jack! Any help?

Try doing a PRAM reset first to see if that restores the sound.
