CS5 not taking wmv????

I just switched over to mac and with cs5 premiere and when I tried to import .wmv it doesn't take it? am I doing something wrong? Premiere cs5 on my pc takes .wmv no problem, it's the same program why would it not take it on the mac???????

Way... way too many specs to list.
Because it's a windows codec. You need to convert to .mov first I believe.

really? I figured it was the same program. MAC won't take .mts but premiere on my mac does. Am I doing something wrong?
