Unlike The Pirate Bay, Bayfiles will directly host the content but will provide no search function; users must have a specific download URL to retrieve material. Such systems make it impossible for third parties to see who might be downloading specific filenames; if infringing links are located, only the uploader's information is on record.

Can only be a good thing. Or its it just so it looks like they are trying to follow the law the take heat off PirateBay ??

Remains to be seen if a company based in Hong Kong really cares about respecting the copyright laws of the US or anywhere else for that matter. I wonder why they have all of a sudden repented of their past sins? ;P

Um... so what? It's not like they've removed their original website from the net.. all this does is provide another outlet for pirated files which covers their backs a bit more, or so it seems.
