anonymous ip address

hi i was wondering whether anyone knew any free products to use on mac 10.3 that hide your ip address so you can surf the net anonymously?

i don' know of any appllications that will allow you to hide your ip address but you can put private browsing on in safari which will make everything you do not recorded as it would as if you were on standard browsing.

How do you put on private browsing?

click on safari in your toolbar up top and then click private browsing

While private browsing will keep Safari's history clear, it will not prevent website's from knowing your public IP address.

It's not free though - $29.95/year

There is a Mac App called "NetShade" that will run your connection through any number of proxy servers world wide. Not sure if it is free or not, and it can slow your connection down a lot, but it does work. Your public IP will show up as one from the proxy server vice your actual IP.
