Email client used when attaching photos

Hi, I'm new to Mac and am struggling to get photos attached properly. I am using Outlook 2011 on a MacBook Pro. I opened Mail and changed the default mail client to Outlook but still, when i am in Finder and try to attach an image, it throws me to Mail. What am I missing here? Please help.
