- Macbook - 2.4 ghz intel core duo / 4 gig of ram.
I have set up a photography / videography business. I currently have an old 2009 black macbook, that is just incapable of editing the HD video I throw at it.
It is also struggling immensely with the RAW images from my camera. Time to upgrade...
However, I need some help here.
What is the difference between a quad and dual core? Is there a noticeable difference in performance, considering the majority of applications I will be using do not yet use all cores?
Do I go for:
15" macbook pro 2.2GHz quad-core, 4 gig ram (upgrade myself to 8) OR, for less money
iMac - 2.5GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i5 AND an ipad to show clients work?
Obviously the graphics card in the macbook pro is superior, but will the one in the imac cater for after effects / live type titling work?
Anyone help me here?
