Hi guys,
Yesterday I purchased a new iMac 21' with 2 TB HD and 8 GB of RAM- so I thought. Because of a screw up at the store, it came with 2x 2GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM. The store apologised and gave me 2x 4GB RAM to install.
Question 1: Will having mismatched RAM (2x 4GB & 2x 2GB) running together be counter productive or damaging to the computer?
Question 2: Is it worth selling the practically brand new 2x 2GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM or swapping to one 4GB?
Thanks for your patience!
Iscar.
