I recently purchased this:

and I want to be able to record into GarageBand. (prefer garageband to the software that was included) and I go to System Preferences and everything, choose the correct input, and try to record. It doesn't work. When I record into Sound Studio, it does work. Any ideas? (I have a feeling it's an obvious mistake.)
