hi folks, hope this is the right forum for this q. i seem to have double clicked a large number (100's?) of system or appliction sound files (i don't know exactly how), which then shipped into iTunes and started playing. i stopped the playback, then removed the new "unknown artist" folder to the desktop, and would like to just trash it. but i don't want to loose important files.

can anyone guess whether these files were just copied to iTunes music folder, or were they moved there? i don't know where they came from, otherwise i would try to put them back if they were moved.

sorry if this description seems obtuse. best i can do. thnx-

put them in the trash but dont delete them then see if anything goes wrong with it.

or if you could give us the file names that would be even more helpful

i believe that iTunes copies the files to the iTunes folder. Therefore leaving the original files in place.
