Does Apple still have the deal when purchasing an Apple computer, you get a free ipod as well? I was looking into getting an Air for myself for school since my MBP's battery doesn't last long and can be heavy at times. If not, when would be the best time to buy one?

They generally announce the free iPod (you pay for it up front and receive a rebate check from Apple which covers the cost of the iPod) around the end of Summer in time for the "back to school" sales that most stores run.

Whether they do the same this year as in previous years, we don't know yet. Right now they're offering a free printer with the purchase of a Mac. We just bought a new iMac and received a free Epson ($99) all in one printer. Same deal - pay up front and receive a rebate check from Apple.

Yea that's the deal I did when i bought my first Mac. I was thinking about getting a MacBook Air before the summer is up, and would love to get an iPod touch with it, so I was hoping that deal is still happening.

Back to school event. I heard it was either an iPod Touch or 200 off an iPad this year as well. Lets hope the latter is true as well :)
