I've got some critical files that I need to access, unfortunately one note has its own proprietary file format which prevents me from accessing it on a mac. I just need to get the text, or convert it to a .doc or other simple format.

Any tips?

To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to open a OneNote file on a Mac except to run the Windows version of OneNote either in WINE or on a VM like Parallels.

If you need the text only, you might try asking the owner of the original file to send it to you as a PDF.

Good luck!

Found this on the internet, don't know if its useful:

so now you can import onenote into evernote (in windows) then sync across the cloud or export as evernote xml files which you can then import into evernote (on your mac) ... very cool

Btw use search: link
