Tracking line on final cut capture

Im capturing from VHS and Digital 8 on my iMAC using Final Cut Express. A tracking line is showing up at the bottom of screen during capture and when I export it. This line does not show up on original tapes whatsoever. Why would this be there on the capture and how do I get rid of it? Thank you.
