Hi!
I'm trying to use my macbook pro7,1 to watch video on my flat screen.

The guy at the apple store recommended a mini display port to HDMI Adapter, stating that HDMI would support video AND audio from my macbook to the screen.

I'm connected, and can display my desktop on the "extended screen" of my HDTV, but the only audio I have is from my PC speakers, NOT my HDTV speakers.

As far as I know I have the 2010 macbook release that is supposed to support audio via HDMI, does anyone have any guidance or suggestions on what I may need to do?

Thanks!

Your Mac's Specs
Late 2013 rMBP, i7, 750m gpu, OSX versions 10.9.3, 10.10
You may want to (on your Mac) go into your settings, Sounds and see if there is a new audio device listed and change the audio out to that new device.
