• The Mac-Forums Community Guidelines (linked at the top of every forum) are very clear, we respect US law and court precedence when it comes to legality of activity.

    Therefore to clarify:
    • You may not discuss breaking DVD or BluRay encryption, copying, or "ripping" commercial, copy-protected DVDs.
    • This includes DVDs or BluRays you own. Even if you own the DVD or BluRay, it is still technically illegal under the DMCA to break the encryption. While some may argue otherwise, until the law is rewritten or the US Supreme Court strikes it down, we will adhere to the current intent of the law.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying unprotected movies or homemade DVDs.
    • You may discuss ripping or copying tools in the context that they are used for legal purposes as outlined in this post.

i've downloaded an avi file from graboid. i used quicktime pro to save it as a .mov. i thought everything was working great until i tried to preview it in iDVD. The audio is way too fast for the video...funny thing is, when i pause and play again, it syncs itself, but it's not long before the audio is ahead of the video again. pause again, play, and it re-syncs for a few seconds. this makes me think the problem isn't in my file.

i saved my iDVD project as a disk image (took awhile). the audio/video doesn't even come close to being correctly synced.

now i'd like to burn the .mov onto a dvd-r using iDVD. is there anyway to slow the audio down without a ton of work?
