I know alot of you guys are avid photographers, and so this is a thread that should see you strive!

Post a picture of a fond memory you have had in your life. it can be anything, so long as it has a story to tell!

A town near where i live used to be a Roman town, specifically the town of Calleva Atrebatum.

Silchester - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calleva_Atrebatum

This reminds me of a time when me and my friend got our push bikes out as children, and rode all the way to this wall and back. We raced all the way there, and it took about an hour each way. It was amazing to see the pavements and buildings just dissapear into a mass of beautiful trees and nature.
The sun was shining that day, and thats all i remember of it, other than that i enjoyed it.

Amazing to sit on something that was built in 45 AD.

Looking forward to hear some of your stories! :)

Last summer my family and I went on a trip around the western half of the U.S. This photo was taken somewhere in Yellowstone National Park. We had a great time here, what with all the family time and scenery to be enjoyed. It will be a trip that I will never forget, and will always cherish. Hopefully I get the opportunity to take my own family there one day... :)

Thanks! It was an all around beautiful experience! That wall is extremely cool too! Biking around is great, and as a kid on a sunny day, with a friend... That's the way to do it!

Not a picture I took (obviously). I'm the little guy standing up. My dad and brother are both gone now so this pic means a lot to me.
This is the scanned image; I'm in the process of cleaning it up some (scratches, cracks etc)

U.S. Army circa mid 1950's; the silver badge above his left pocket shows that he was a paratrooper.
