I used to run VirtualBox in Windows to run Linux operating systems. Now I'm looking for something free to install Office 2003 (for Windows) in Power Office G4.

Is there anything tried, tested and free that operates without errors?

Unfortunately, you've got a PowerPC Mac, so options are extremely limited - and performance will be terrible since you have to actually emulate the CPU, which adds an incredible amount of overhead.

Microsoft's Virtual PC for Mac has been discontinued. That leaves iEmulator as the only option I'm aware of, but it's not free.

OK - many thanks. At the end of the day, Mac is Mac and Windows is Windows...

Well, it's a bit different with an Intel Mac. You can choose from Boot Camp, VirtualBox, Fusion, Parallels, or even running Windows apps with WINE. So, you kind of get the best of both worlds.
