Transferring files from pc to mac

Hi

I have just purchased a new mac and wish to load onto it all my music/pics/vids etc which are sotred on my external hard drive. Thing is, the harddrive is in pc format... What is the easiest way to go about this?

Hi,

Your Mac should be able to read the drive OK as I suspect it is NTFS and copy any file from it. But you will not be able to write to the drive from the Mac until you have formatted it. (if it is FAT32 I think the Mac can read and write to it, well it can on USB memory sticks)
To format the drive go to Applications >Utilities > Disk Utility.app here you can format the drive as you want.
