replace O/S

Hi all
I have go an old ibook g3 600mhz running tiger, all i want to know how hard or easy is it to reinstall the operating system, it is not the original system that come with the laptop but it is genuine, the reason for the install it seems some programs are not working missing files unless there is an easier way

It's pretty easy if you have an OS install disk. You didn't mention having any...so that would make it pretty hard!

As far as the problems. Maybe the applications are the issue...not the OS (just a thought).

It depends on what type it is. If it's black with a big 'X' logo on it, then it's the retail versions and should work fine. If it's a gray system disc, it's model-specific and will only work with certain machines.

Thats a retail disc and wil install on any mac that supports Tiger
