Realtek USB Adapter

Hi

I have a ibook 12" running Tiger 10.4 (circa 2005)

I have installed the driver software from IM Technologies website and installed successfully.

I have then connected to my home router wirelessly but my problem is every 8-10 seconds it disconnects then immediately re-connects again.

Any ideas?

Sorry forgot to say the airport card is knackered but this machine has ran on usb adapters for years
