And I mean new.

2011 Hyundai Elantra GLS 4-door (typical power options/cruise control, etc.)

5 year roadside assistance (towing, etc.)
6 yr/60,000 miles bumper-to-bumper warranty, 10 yr/100,000 miles power train warranty.
B/T phone connection. I can make calls by pressing a button on the steering wheel and then speaking out loud when I have B/T turned on on my iPhone.
Steering wheel controls for moving up/down tracks when playing music from iPod/iPhone or presets on the radio station. Steering wheel volume up/down as well as mute for radio or mute for phone conversations.
Comes with free 3 month trial of XM, but we won't bother keeping that. No need.
Some pretty cool safety features and a new version of ABS. All 4 wheels are controlled independently when braking in case one side of the car is on ice or water and the other is on dry ground. Allows for a more controlled stop.

Best part is the 30+ city MPG and 40+ highway. :) No more weekly trips to the gas pump. First day of driving it, we got about 35 miles before we used a gallon of gas. And that's without taking it on the highway yet.

No pictures yet because I'm waiting until I get the windows tinted. Should be in the next day or two, though. Love that new car smell!

Pics or it didn't happen!! LOL.
Nice car! I actually really like the new Elantra! It has a great mpg rating, and can come equipped with all the gadgets I like. However, I think I'm addicted to the new 2012 Accent 5-door Hatch.

Dang! How old was your last car? LOL :)

17 yrs old!! Volvo 850 Turbo 2.3L also fully loaded (by 1994 standards). Replaced tranny last yr and other issues started popping up with intermittent starting. Did all we could to save the old gal, but it was her time to go.

You should've taken the grill and mounted it! My friends dad just traded a 1991 accord with 250k miles that he bought new, for a new 2011 accord. If my car lasted almost 20 years, I don't think I could ever part ways with it. I would turn the engine block into a table center(like in Top Gear)! I would weld the whole car shut and turn it into one huge fish tank:D Or make turn it into a mini-theater room...with only 2 seats:Cool:

ok, ok...I'm done.

Haha, we only owned it 1.5 years. No attachment to it. More of a pain than anything else. Too many costly repairs in 18 short months!

Aye pics would be nice. Since my car just got totaled on Monday, I will also probably be looking for a new car as well.

Nice, Congrats!
One thing that strikes me here, you are happy with 30+ to the gallon.
Over here, probably because our fuel prices are so high, 30+ would be considered poor. Think at least 40, and over 50 on the motorway, just as a starting point.

You guys have less emissions to worry about. If you took a car from Europe that got, say 40 miles to the gallon, and ship it over to the US, and made it so it would pass all the emission tests, that mpg would drop to ~30. US cars have lots of restricting parts in their exhaust setup, that causes that drop in mpg's.

You also measure mpg rating differently too. You guys use the Imperial Gallon, which holds 4.55 liters. The US uses the Liquid Gallon, which holds 3.79 liters. I believe this all happened because of the difference in fuel quality...or lack of standard fuel quality measurements in Europe, especially in the UK.

Oh I don't know about emissions, it's very strict indeed now.
