Looking for a copy of Os9 my Ibook didnt come with it but came with panther when i got it off of Ebay.

I dont want panther i want my os9


If anyone could help that would be great.

If you got Panther on you new ibook then it cant run OS 9 (that capability was taken out years ago) also no new software is being made for OS 9 and down. Just use OS X for a while it will grow on you and you will love it soon. But if you want to have a newish laptop that will run OS 9 I suggest going on Ebay and getting a titanium PowerBook (their speeds range from 600mhz to 1ghz they will be able to boot into both OS 9 and OS X.

yeah iom really after Os9, my ibook is only a g3 700 and well panther isnt actually what came on it, he sent me an Emac restroe disk with panther on it.....


Os9 is what im craving for.

And only ebay seems to have it.

Someone recomplie it and make is opensource or something jeeze.......

Im tired of running linux on my mac, "Os9 Os9 Os9"

If you do want to run Mac OS 9, you'll need the original OS 9 install CD that came with whatever model you have. A generic OS 9 CD won't work, because there are actually many different versions of OS 9 with the same version number.
