I feel for you

I feel for you, I just purchased a D-Link wireless router, I inadvertently chose the wrong wireless security and can not change it, therefore, my Airport will not allow me to connect to the internet.

If anyone has an idea of how I can resolve this problem, I would be very grateful.

What do you mean you "chose the wrong security?" - And why can't you change it? You should be able to browse onto the router config page - or use whatever Utility program ships with the D-Links.

router problems

I mean, I get an error message that I have either chosen the wrong security, wrong password, etc. What I have found is that my iPad works fine with my new wireless router, as do my other two PC's that are connected wirelessly. I do recall when I went to set up that I accidently picked WEP Personal vs WEP Password. I now can no longer change that setting for some reason. I have attempted several times to do so. I continually get the wrong password message, I have unmasked to verify the password is correct and it is.

I did try the router config page, but it keeps taking me back to WEP Personal and there is no way to change that. I can't change the name of the network since all my other computers work fine, just the Power PC G4 that is having issues. My G5 works great, and my two Toshibas and iPad are all working.
