ok, so, whenever i use expose to show desktop, the desktop shows, but only for about 1-3 secs. then it just puts all of the windows back where they used to be... any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

The desktop will show until you choose an app or window. As soon as you do, the other windows fall back into place. The only other reason the windows return to place is if you hit the show desktop key (F11) again.

thanks, it must be the first reason, but i dont think im using any window or app, i press the show desktop key, (its F10 for me) and do nothing, then the windows pop back up...
