@Stake issues security advisories for Jaguar
October 29, 2003 - 14:20 EST* Internet security firm @Stake issued three security advisories for Mac OS X on Tuesday. The vulnerabilities detailed in the advisories affect Mac OS X 10.2.8 and earlier versions, but not Mac OS X 10.3 Panther. "The first details systemic flaws in the way OS X handles file and directory permissions; the second notes a kernel-level vulnerability that does not affect default installations of the operating system; and the third involves a buffer-overflow condition that may be remotely exploitable," reports CNET News.com. Apple has not yet released patches for the security issues.

My Comments: Interesting.. isn't security just fun stuff? Now if we were all good boys and girls we wouldnt have to worry about this stuff.. and all their energy could be focused on the user experience..
