Airport express to netgear access point

Currently we have airport extreme hooked up. We are using an airport express to extend the range of the wireless network. I have a netgear wireless access point. It only works when connected via Ethernet cable. I was wondering if i could run a cable to an airport express which im using to extend the range and at the same time connect an ethernet cord from the airport express to the netgear access point to further extend the range?
