I am trying to unload some MP3 files from my Sansa Fuze and reinstall new MP3 files, but I can't find a way to do that. Is the iMac unfriendly to MP3 players? Do I have to have a special app to do this? I tried opening the file "Music" and it does nothing. Here's a screen shot.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "I opened the music file and it does nothing." What was it supposed to do? (and I assume you actually meant to say the music FOLDER).

It's been a long while now, but I recall a friend who had one of these things, and he just dragged MP3 files (caution: must actually be in MP3 format!) to and from that "music" folder and iTunes.

But as the rest of the world will tell you, there's a reason why iTunes and iPods are so overwhelmingly dominant when it comes to digital music: it's because the total experience is so ridiculously much better than with any other music player. So get an iPod already.
