need help to connect my imac with my dlink635 router

i guess my brand new imac cannot find the dlink router because i cannot get connected to the internet.

Are you saying you don't see the network at all or you just can't access the internet?

What type of security do you have turned on for your router? You need to use WPA or WPA2.

i think that i just can´t access the internet.
sexurity is at wpa2.

pleas don´t mind my bad english, i´m an austrian and schooltime is long ago...

Could you try to explain what you have done so far please?
Have you logged into the router and set up security, and have you then made sure that the WPA key is correct on the Mac?
One way to be sure of a connection is to connect to the router via Ethernet cable.

yess, the mac is connected to the router via Ethernet cable.
when i go to the "networkdiagnose" my mac ask me: DHCP or PPPoE?
Then i filled in the required informations (accountname, password...) but after that, i fourther can´t connect to the internet.
