disable iPhoto

everytime i put my CF card in to get my photos off it... iphoto opens up
im sure its a good program
but i dont want to use it
is there anyway i can disable the auto open/import on iPhoto so i can avoid waiting for it to open then close it to use image capture?
ive looked all over it and cant seem to figure out how

Open up image capture
go to image capture -> Preferences
first screen that pops up choose image capture instead of iPhoto

I don't consider that a simple solution at all. Unless you know better, why would you look in Image Capture? Something Apple should work on IMHO.
