Is there any way to have two separate headsets to permit two users to hear and speak using a MacBook Pro. This would enable a speech therapist to work with a student. I also thought it would be useful to allow two students to work with garageband at the same time to avoid having as much background noise when working in a classroom situation. Is this possible?

A really simple solution would be to go to your local electronics store and buy two 3.5mm audio splitters. Then you could just plug two headsets into one set of jacks.

The splitter works beautifully. Using the internal mic on the MBPro allows for communication to the other end. Thanks so much for the help.
