Rebutting the National Enquirer’s morbid rumors that he is near death, Steve Jobs will be among the attendees at President Barack Obama’s dinner with tech industry leaders in San Francisco tomorrow, an inside source tells ABC News.

At today’s White House press briefing, press secretary Jay Carney said that the focus of the event will be “innovation and job creation” with business leaders “who know a lot about private sector job growth.”

The full list of attendees has not yet been released, but it has been learned that outgoing Google CEO Eric Schmidt, Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg, and Paul Otellini of Intel are also on the guest list.

Why even post this dreck man? I mean really?? "Steve Jobs seen at cancer center" NO DUUUH! He's got ... yeah, CANCER ! ! What, does anybody really think that you go through some minor treatment for a few months and that's it ? Cancer, especially the types which he has are those that need to be followed up on many times over for standard as well as radical treatments. Not to mention simple follow ups, physical therapy and of course mental therapy.

People spend years in and out of Cancer treatment centers, regardless of their supposed status. I just don't see the point of these stupid stories anymore, since nothing meaningful can be gained by reading them, and the only person who CAN bring some meaning to new info, is the man who simply wants to continue working as long as he's able.

This just seems to be one of those things, where hack journalists are clinging on to any and every angle possible, just to squeeze more reads out of the public.
