The wistful tone and open-ended time frame of Steve Jobs’ email announcing another medical leave of absence from Apple has led many to fear the worst when it comes to the charismatic CEO’s health, but a new report suggests that Jobs’ health might actually be better than expected.

In fact, not only is Jobs still making appearances at Apple’s Cupertino campus, but he seemed upbeat, described as wearing a big smile and with a spring in his step.

Something no-one pointed out yet. Is that a white iphone 4 he's holding there?

And secondly I'm so glad he still feels really good and happy to be at Apple. in the pick from the link he does look rather happy and healthy indeed. Who knows. Him saying "time off for health reasons" could only be partially right. It could also be a way for him to check up on a Jobsless Apple. To see how the place would run without him. I know he doesn't want to leave now. But if anything happens he needs to be assured the ship is safe while he is not there.
