HardWire G4 to G5

Good Day To the World

I would like to hard wire G4 to G5 ? I would like to grab files and assign printing tasks,

Can I use ethernet to ethernet or fire wire to fire wire ?

I have a router would this work and would it need a internet connection or just switched on ?

Thats Great, Would you dare to walk me through the process, as soon as ppp & proxies are mentioned I have to put TCP on my IP, If you catch my drift,

does it auto sync? in drop box or share folder?

If we're talking short term...just use wires (ethernet or firewire cable). Then go to your "Networking" control panel to get them talking with each other.

I'm off the case, I have plugged ether to ether and network has recognized each other but are still in separate beds, I clicked apply button and am at a loss as to where to go next,
