Hey everyone, my new Macbook Pro just got delivered this morning and when i was setting it up with startup assistant i accidently clicked the box say "dont connect to internet" in the internet setup.

I went into system preferences and set it up from there. It is connected to the wireless internet in my house but for some reason the airport will not connect. It just says Alert: No internet connection.

Can anyone help or tell me how to do the startup assistant again?

The way you would connect is going through System Preferences>Network and setting it up in there. You don't say what you steps you completed as far as set up, but be sure Airport is turned on, your settings are all correct, and make sure there isn't any privacy/security setting in your router's software (if you have any) that requires you to "allow" the Mac to connect.

Self Assigned IP Address?

Hey iv been having trouble connecting to the internet n my new Macbook Pro and i think it has something to do with the Airport. It says it has a self assigned IP Address and will not connect. Iv tried restarting everything but it still isnt working. My firewall is off too.

Can anyone help with this?

Try going to System Prefs > Network > Advanced > TCP/IP, make sure you have "Configure IPv4" set to DHCP, and below "Configure IPv6" to Automatically. Then click Renew DHCP Release. Once done, logout and back in and see if it has solved your problem.
