Hi,
We have created an Adobe AIR desktop application on Mac operating System (Mac OS X Version 10.6.3). This application has flash - javascript communication. Due to permission issues we need to add few permission related settings to flash so that it can communicate with javascript. In order to make this happen we found two methods.
Method 1.(which works in windows but not on Mac OS)
We have created two configuration files at the below locations.
1. /Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#Security/FlashPlayerTrust/AppName.cfg
2. /Library/Application Support/Macromedia/FlashPlayerTrust/AppName.cfg
Method 2.
Alternatively we have tried using Adobe Global Security Settings panel Adobe - Flash Player : Settings Manager - Global Security Settings panel
After trying this the application was running successfully and the flash - javascript communication was happening properly.
As a part of our application requirement it requires to run offline through FlashPlayerTrust files which is method 1 mentioned above.
Please let us know if we are following the right procedure in method 1 as most of our research pointed us to the same steps but still it does not work.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
