I just bought one yesterday. I am new to keyboards.

I have a mac book. What is some ideal software people are using these days, also anything else you recommend I get?

just reealized this new macbook does not have an input line..... do they make USB inputs or something?

my old macbook has an inline but its a 2006 model with no balls.

my friend has a micro korg and it has midi and usb outputs. he uses reason & logic with his, but you could use pro tools, too.

ah in that case i think you will need an interface with MIDI I/O. im not too clued up on MIDI interface, as i usually use USB, but most good audio interfaces have MIDI.

That would not be correct. If you're talking about the current gen MacBook, it has a combo line in/headphone jack similar to the iPhone.

That one port does analog in, analog out and optical out and is selectable via Sound Preferences.
