Hi, I know the title makes this issue look simple, I know how to change my computer name by going to System Preferences/Sharing, as well as my account name by going to accounts in system preferences. the thing I cant figure out is in finder, It says my account name is guest1 under "places" (with the little icon of the house next to it) I was wondering if I could change it back to say Steve Setay. I Am the only account on my MBP, and i am the admin, so it is not that I am in a guest account. I have tried changing the names in the two ways listed above with no avail.

I know its weird, but it used to say Steve Setay and now it says guest1, I'm just OCD and i have spent almost all day trying to figure this thing out. any and all help is greatly appreciated.

I have added a picture to help you out. Again any and all help is appreciated, thanks

Problem changing home folder name - MacRumors Forums

+1 +2 on that..... Ther has been many a thread with people saying how to fix there machine after changing that name.
If you really want it changed and you are that OCD, i HIGHLY recommend re-installing the OS . . . . .
Seriously you can do so much damage trying to do it and it isnt worth the hassle . . . And have a read of the Mac Rumours thread too....

If i was you i would consider reinstalling your OS
