C was before C++...C++ is a little easier in the sense that it is mostly object oriented from the get go. I mean C is to a degree, but C++ is a little easier in that realm than C. However, if you know C already, the move to C++ is not hard at all. But as posted above, C is not a requirement to learn C++.
