my powerbook g4 connects to my wireless network but it has a very poor connection. With my iMac i'm getting as fast connection with 5 bars. With the G4 it's getting 2 bars.

Both Macs are in a back office at my home and connecting through a wireless extender (the router is inside the home) When the G4 is inside and closer to the router or extender it gets a good connection.

i'd like to have the G4 get the same connection the imac gets.

Your Mac's Specs
C2D 2.26 | 500GB Seagate Momentus | 2GB 1066 (soon to be 8)
Its probably because the Powerbook only receives a G signal whereas the iMac is getting an N signal.

Another thing I have noticed is that all Notebooks are not equal in WiFi Reception ability. Like s2odin said though, N does have much better range a lot of times than G.

What Extender are you using?
