Hey guys, thanks in advance for your help.

My macbook crapped out, and only the harddrive was salvaged, which was then put in a Micro Combo USB Enclosure, which I'd imagine is USB 2.0.

Here I am with my old Powerbook G4, and the harddrive enclosure, which works on all other computers, just makes a clicking noise and isn't recognized when plugged into the Powerbook.

Is there anything I can do to make it work here? If not, would there be a way to transfer the data using, for example, a macbook with 2.0 ports inbetween my computer and the harddrive? Thanks again. -Scott

Welcome to Mac-Forums

The clicking noise is usually created by not enough power getting to the hdd, it just ends up powering on and off constantly hence the clicking.
