I'VE had a 20" Intel iMAC for 3 years and like it better than any of the many PC
computers I have owned BUT now I'm having trouble getting any CD to show up
on screen showing it has been picked up and ready for work. I can see it as a
small icon on the "My Computer page" but not where it normally shows up -ON the DESKTOP. Is there some trick to do with a CD to get it to show up ?

I sandpapered the edges of one CD DISC but it did not seem to change any
thing. ANYBODY have the SAME TROUBLE ?

If you are talking about a blank cd there's no need for it to show up on the desktop. Whatever app you need it for will recognise it. And when the cd is burnt it'll then automatically show up on the desktop.

But if you are talking about a cd with data on it not showing up then that is an issue.

Using sandpaper on any disc sounds very risky. I've never heard that method before. With that being said, I'd recommend avoid doing so.
