Had the Mac for about 6 months and am just starting to learn. My wife is Korean and we used to have on our PC a translation program for both the keyboard and when we receive mail. Where do I look for that for our e-mails to work with family abroad.
More questions in the future I am sure

Have you looked at Google Translate for something that's rough and ready?

Do you actually want to change the system to Korean when your wife needs to, or maybe set-up a User account for your wife that is set for the Korean language?

Actually it's easy. We receive lot of traffic from Korea in our business and here's what we do:

System Preferences: Language & Text. Select the Language Tab and drag Korean so that it's one down from English. In other words, English first, Korean second.

Next, click on the "Input Sources" tab. Check the box that says "Keyboard & Character Viewer". Now scroll on down to "Hangul" and place a check in that box. Also place a check in the box at the bottom of the dialog that states "Show input menu in menu bar"

Exit System Preferences. Now when she wants to type in Korean or read from Korean, select the US Flag at the top menu, select whichever Korean input method she wants (we use 2-Set Korean) and click on show Keyboard Viewer. That's all there is to it.

Another hint: Buy a spare Apple Aluminum wired keyboard and buy a set of stick on Korean matching keyboard characters (sold widely on the net) and place them on the keys. When she wants to type in Korean, attach that keyboard and select the 2-Set Korean input method and you'll be typing in Korean in a matter of minutes.
