I make alot of movies for youtube. For now I use iMovie(right), witch isn't really that great. It's not that I need more effects or anything but, the quality sucks! I want a video-edit software that:
can add text
can add music
can cut and move around clips
doesn't change the quality of the clips I inported (most important)

Any ideas?:[

One more thing:
I don't like Final Cut, It's almost as bad as iMovie

iMovie 09 and above does exactly what you are stating...what version are you using?

Why don't you like Final Cut? To me, it's more intuitive than iMovie and it's definitely more powerful. You're not going to find many editing applications that don't at least resemble Final Cut.

Sounds like user error, so...

How does the quality suck? What is your video source? What is are the specs and quality of the source? How are you acquiring that source? What are your output parameters?

What version of iMovie are you using?

Any links of your quality sucking YouTube videos?

I can think of at least 999 reasons why some people might be better off learning more about iMovie than jumping over to Final Cut Pro. :)

Didn't know that it cost that much. I've only used it a few times at school.

Well to be fair that's the whole studio (which is the only way you can get FCP these days, I think).

There is a Final Cut Express, that's $199.

But for MOST people, taking the time to actually learn iMovie is probably all they need and it's already right there aka free. For those who need a bit more, FCE is a good option, for those who need more than that, it's basically Avid, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Studio, all roughly the same (high) price by the time you equalize them.
